The road to success…?

At what point when you have amassed X amount of personal fortune, accumulated Y amount of material possessions, and achieved Z status as ‘an upstanding member of society’ do you shout “Enough!” and commence living a life of contentment?

Looking around our society, it seems that hardly anyone has reached this point.

This is the defining characteristic of the conventional mind in our society - never satisfied in the present, never content with what is, always grasping for something more.

I’ve been thinking a lot about living in the present as opposed to the future of what if’s and might happenes. Glad I’m not really one to live in the past (guess I have that to be grateful for). It’s not like this is some BIG new idea for me. I’ve always known I should live in the present, but I still find mself day dreaming about what is GOING to happen to me instead of what actually happening to me at the current moment. Need to think more about that… also need to travel more.
